Billy’s Story
Like many of the patients at Adjust NRV, Billy and Dr. Brooke go way back. Billy first started seeing him when he was practicing at a different office many years ago. Unfortunately during COVID and the time of transition to the new office, Billy wasn’t able to find another chiropractor that suited his needs. He was so thankful that he was able to reconvene with Dr. Brooke at his new practice in Blacksburg.
Billy served in the Army from 1997-2003. During his time of service, he suffered from a fairly significant back injury and has relied on chiropractic care to keep him going ever since. Over the years, Billy married his wife Valerie and they started a family. They are constantly on the go with hunting, fishing, hiking, walking the dogs, and supporting their 12 year old son Owen with sports.
Without the weekly chiropractic care, Billy is not able to stay as active as he would like to be and also needs to be for his family. His wife Valerie and their son Owen are now regular patients at Adjust NRV. Valerie goes for routine maintenance visits and Owen has received a lot of help from Dr. Brooke to stay competitive with his baseball team. Dr. Brooke has been such a good opportunity for Owen so that he can learn proper stretching techniques, how to take care of his body while he is playing baseball, and hopefully to avoid any sort of pain or injury in the meantime.
Billy reflected on when he was a kid and how no one really taught him how to eat healthy and exercise correctly. Those two things were usually done in response to a problem that arose. He wants to make sure he and his family are being more proactive in their health by balancing good exercise habits and nutrition and also knowing the occasional treat or rest day is important! Billy is extremely grateful for Dr. Brooke and everyone at Adjust NRV for the time and efforts they put into his family.
