“Tell me some good news!”
“One of my favorite ways to greet a patient is to say, ‘Tell me something good,’” Dr. Brooke shared. Smiling, Dr. Skinner added, “Mine is similar! It’s, ‘what’s good?’” Even in that seemingly small greeting we learn so much about both Drs. Brooke and Skinner, the chiropractic team at Adjust NRV.
Good luck trying to talk with them without smiling! You can feel the mutual respect and appreciation between them but also the fun they have. For example, ask them about the first time they met and they’ll both start chuckling.
“It was at an Applebee’s in Galax, right?” said Dr. Brooke. Dr. Skinner quickly agreed, yes, that was their first time connecting. Now, 15 years later, the two chiropractors are meeting up again but this time for so much more than just a shared meal. Dr. Skinner joined Dr. Brooke at Adjust NRV in February 2025.
Both doctors have been practicing chiropractic care for over 15 years. They met in the early days of their careers but now are both seasoned with years of experience and countless lives impacted.
Dr. Skinner shared, “I think what makes us a good team is that we have 30+ years of combined chiropractic practice experience. That experience combined with the shared passion to inspire better health for every patient that comes through the door is a good foundation for a team. We will be able to help more people together than we would otherwise.”
For a season of their careers, they were with the same chiropractic practice, and had the opportunity to work side-by-side. Drs. Brooke and Skinner even adjusted some of the same patients. They have a similar touch and some patients even said that with their eyes shut they can’t tell the two apart. Dr. Brooke explained, “Each chiropractor learns their own technique due to their own shape and size. Dr. Skinner and I have very similar techniques and approaches to chiropractic care.” Patients also note how their enthusiasm for purposeful living is another commonality.
Dr. Skinner not only has extensive experience but he brings heart-alignment to the team. “Dr. Skinner has a vision very similar to our Just Cause. He sees his role in health care as someone who will inspire better health with everyone that he interacts with,” said Dr. Brooke.
This purpose-driven and inspiring pair is ready to increase their impact with the New River and Roanoke Valleys!
